The Skoda Vision O concept was revealed at the Munich Motor Show, merging sustainability with the legacy of estates.

Skoda has just brought their vision into reality and introduced their all-new Vision O concept at the 2025 Munich Motor Show in Germany. This concept showcases the brand’s vision which will be seen in their future upcoming models as they are smartly converting their traditional estate legacy into electric mobility, by building their own electric portfolio.
Skoda is widely recognised for their Octavia and Superb models which helped the brand to solidify their position in Europe’s high-competitive markets. Now to enhance their presence, Skoda has brought the Vision O which is not merely a design highlight, as it is a display of the next generation cars which are developed on Skoda’s Solid design philosophy, that is more concentrated towards the customer.
Skoda Vision O Simplistic Design Philosophy
Looking at the concept, it is clearly evident that the Vision O is more modern with sharper and angular design inserts, which defines the robust version of Skoda’s design inspiration. There is an inclusion of a completely new Tech-loop face mask featuring lighting signatures and there is a variety of flush details which includes retractable handles which increases the aerodynamic efficiency.
The body of the concept is designed with a colour-shifting effect and houses panoramic sunroof with reworked pillars that provide an enhanced storage space. The cabin of the car feels premium yet quite different from the rivals as it is designed to provide a certain level of uniqueness, thus retaining their original estate silhouette by striking a balance with modern elements.
Vision O Minimalistic Interiors
Skoda has completely changed their design process by designing the overall layout of the cabin first as the dashboard is minimalistic and features a 1.2-meter-wide Horizon Display integrated with vertical center screen which also provides a haptic dial for easy navigation across the controls ensuring higher productivity for the users.
There will be an addition of various segment first features which includes Bio-Adaptive Lighting, portable speaker, and an attached fridge, which Skoda is defining as a “Simply Clever” design approach. The company has also focussed on providing extended cargo space of 650 litres which can be further expanded to 1,700 litres with folded mechanism.
Eco-Friendly & Sustainable Approach
Skoda wants to position the Vision O concept exclusively for green mobility production as the cabin has been designed with mono-materials that are easily recycled, in addition it also includes recycled PET, plant-based Ultraseude, and the flooring of the vehicle which uses uncycled scraps of leather.
Other sustainable elements include 3D-printed headrest with recycled TPU which just highlights the need of material innovation and how it is elevating the brand’s comfort and improving the user experience.
Vision O Concept Autonomous Technology
The future mobility is advanced and autonomous and inspired by this, Skoda has equipped the Autonomous Driving technology into their latest Vision O concept. There is an addition of Tranquil mode which just changes the sitting and ambience in order to make their long highway drives seamless by increasing the user comfort especially on long-highway trips.
The company has also made a dedicated AI that is not limited to the car but it also functions through the Vision O App which seamlessly integrates into a mobile ecosystem for managing storage, privacy and even charging procedures. The AI will be also integrated with Skoda’s current MySkoda App which will be coming with AI-powered route planning, done through Google Gemini.
Legacy & Future
Skoda has already captured the European market since 2016 by registering sales of over 3.6 million Octavia and Superb Combi models. Thus the Vision O is crafted with the heritage of the company by the reintroduction of the estates which have set the benchmark for sustainable and tech-loaded cars.
The production model will arrive sometime in this decade and could be powered by the future Volkswagen Group platform. Currently we can say that Vision O will not be replacing the Octavia and Superb, but it would be defined as what their future all-electric estate car could look like by seamlessly blending electrification with practicality and making the EV more family-focussed, featuring next generation technology.
