Volvo introduces its all-new EX60 electric SUV | 810 Km of Range!

Volvo has taken the wraps off its latest electric mid-size SUV in Sweden, which has revolutionized in terms of range, charging speed, performance and price. The five-seater electric SUV is designed to offer exceptional range and next-level user experience. 

It is also Volvo's first car to enter into the premium electric segment globally, as the company is eyeing to substantially increase its electric market share with its EX60 electric SUV. 

The CEO of Volvo Cars, Hakan Samuelsson, expressed his views on the launch and said, “The all-electric EX60 will be a big revolution in terms of range, charging and price, marking a new start for Volvo Cars. With this new car, we have eradicated all the obstacles related with the purchase of an electric car.”

Volvo EX60 Design 

Visually, the EX60 follows the company’s signature Scandinavian design approach further by seamlessly blending into its electric cars. The EX60 looks stylish yet modern with natural high quality materials that provides a calm, refined and versatile space, enhanced with better storage on offer. 

SPA3 Platform: The EX60 is also underpinned by SPA3, which is Volvo’s new electric vehicle platform powered by HuginCore, which is the core of Volvo system. 

It also features a low front with a sloping roofline and tapered body sides, which helps to increase its aerodynamic efficiency, which results in an impressive drag coefficient of 0.26, which contributes in providing class-leading range figures. 

INTERIORS: On the inside, the EX60 is a perfect combination of versatility and practicality. The long wheelbase provides more space and flat floor, creating more legroom for rear occupants, as well as a large luggage compartment and various storage spaces. 

Volvo EX60 Advanced Features & Tech

The EX60 comes with an addition of a premium 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, which provides a premium audio experience. Volvo has also integrated headrest speakers in all four seats, and also comes with Apple Music pre-installed with Dolby Atmos, delivering an immersive Spatial sound effect. 

Latest Version of HuginCore: The EX60 is also the first Volvo to feature the latest version of HuginCore, which is the core of the Volvo cars system. It is more like a brain of the car which helps the car to think, process and act. 

Gemini AI: The EX60 is the first car to feature Gemini, a new assistant from Google. The gemini integrated with the car lets you talk naturally with the car, giving access to personalised conversations without mentioning specific commands. 

Volvo EX60 Battery & Power

The EX60 is available with an option of three powertrain variants, which are mentioned in the table below. 

The EX60 can also add 340 Km of range in just 10 minutes of charge using a 400 kW fast charger, which means a single cup of coffee is enough to recharge and hit again on the roads. Volvo will be also providing 10 years of battery warranty. 

Volvo EX60 Expected India Launch 

Volvo has not revealed the exact timeline of launch in India, but expect it to be launched sometime next year.
