Jaguar Displayed the Type 00 concept in India
Jaguar recently introduced their most anticipated EV concept Type 00 in Mumbai. This unique concept signifies a complete new line up of EVs coming in the future. Globally introduced in December last year, this unique concept made a lot of buzz with its typical design language.
The concept was first introduced in Miami, and the company is unveiling it to different parts of the world, as it is already introduced in Paris and is currently showcasing itself in Monaco and is marching its way forward to Munich and Tokyo before finally introducing it in India.
What exactly is the Jaguar Type 00 concept?
The Type 00 concept is not just a specific type of a car’s platform, but is the new thinking yet a new vision of the company and a glimpse of its upcoming highly advanced electric cars. The two zeroes denote the company’s aim of crafting elegant zero emission cars and is a complete reset to new engineering taking the company to an all-new direction of a highly advanced electric industry.
The company has also started testing their prototypes of a 4-door electric GT in the UK, which will be the brand’s first EV in their electric vehicle lineup.

The spyshots of the prototype in a camouflaged form have also surfaced with an addition of a rear-set dashboard and a sloping coupe-like design with a small, flat-styled boot lid. Other design inserts include an upright nose with higher section tyres.
Jaguar is set to design its next production car on the revolutionary platform called Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA). However, there are no concrete details revealed by the company, but it is expected to provide a substantial range of 770 Km on a full charge (WLTP). The car can also provide 321 km of driving range in just 15 minutes of charge.
Jaguar Electric GT Expected Launch in India
As the concept has garnered so much attention, EV enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the reveal of the production car which is expected to be projected for introduction in worldwide markets towards the end of 2025, possibly arriving in India by late 2026.
The 4-door GT will be the high spec offering by Jaguar and will be specifically positioned to the higher segment, in order to redefine the brand to the EV industry, as of what technologies they can integrate and power their EVs with. Jaguar will be also targeting the affordable consumers by bringing more cost-effective EVs as well.
