Kia’s EV6 was the first electric car of the brand to launch in India in 2022. Now it is getting a facelift and will be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Let’s discuss the changes it will be getting in the facelift.

Kia EV6 Facelift

Design

The updated EV will be getting a set of freshly designed 20-inch alloy wheels, available at the top variants. It will even get a connected LED tail light setup as seen on the current EV6. The visual changes will be pretty evident as it will even get sharper LED DRLs replacing the eyebrow-styled units. Other updates will be a tweaked grille design and a revised bumper.

Interior and Features

The Kia EV6 will now be equipped with an integrated dual 12.3-inch display (one for the instrumentation and the other for infotainment). There will also be a redesigned 2-spoke steering wheel with chunkier steering-mounted controls. The central console is also different and now features a fingerprint scanner that will work as a biometric key for registered car owners as an alternative to the physical key.

Safety is also increased, and the EV6 gets 10 airbags, which is two more than the previously launched model. The ADAS feature will carry on from the earlier model, which includes park assist, lane change assist, and forward collision mitigation.

Other features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, AR navigation, OTA software updates (previously for maps only), a digital rear-view mirror, and an updated 12-inch heads-up display to show more information.

Battery Pack & Electric Motor

The current EV6 gets a 77.4 kWh battery pack offering an ARAI-rated range of up to 708 km. The new model will be getting a bigger battery pack of 84 kWh and will generate 325 PS of power at 605 NM of torque. It will also be AWD now. The EV6 already comes with 350 kW DC fast charging capabilities to charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.

Expected Price & Rivals

The new Kia EV6 will likely be priced at Rs 63 Lakh (ex-showroom). Kia is competing with the Volvo C40 Recharge, while being a good alternative to Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Seal, and BMW i4.
