The Kia EV6 is the flagship electric SUV from Kia’s lineup for India and comes with a larger 84 kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery pack. We recently had a talk with the tester of the Kia EV6 to know the real-world range he is able to extract with the car.

According to the range test, the Kia EV6 provided a real-world range between 490-502 Km of range in mixed driving conditions. He shared his full data of Kia EV6 real world range india with the battery sitting at 97% SOC with an estimated range of 512 Km.

To keep things realistic in the range test, the car was switched to Eco mode with A/C set at 23°C. The route was a mix of city traffic, open highways and steep inclines stretching through Pune-Bangalore highway, then a tour to Mumbai-Pune expressway and to Ambi valley.

Despite going through heavy traffic, the EV6’s radar-based auto regen system worked seamlessly and stored energy during downhills. By the time, the battery reached 50% SOC, the car had covered a total of 257 Km.

Range anxiety usually comes at 20% SOC, but the EV6 managed really well and at 10% SOC, the low-charging warning popped up at the infotainment screen, but even after that the A/C and other drive modes were operational.

When the battery hit 0% SOC, the trip meter showcased an impressive reading of 498.6 Km. Since the last recharge, the car has provided a real-world range of 502.2 Km.
