Kia has officially started testing its long-awaited Syros EV on the roads of India, with a prototype being observed in action on Indian ground. The Syros EV made its debut on the streets of South Korea at the beginning of this month.
The camouflaged test variant was spotted on the roads of Kochi, with the overall styling having a striking resemblance to its petrol sibling, as the car’s original quirky tallboy design will be retained in its EV version too. The electric variant will also feature upright front fascia with an addition of vertical LED DRLs, thick B-pillars, and inclusion of a roof rail.
Kia Syros EV Battery Specifications
The Syros EV will utilize the same battery pack configurations to source power as the Inster EV. These comprise of a smaller 42 kWh battery pack and a substantial 49 kWh battery pack NMC battery pack (Nickel Manganese Cobalt), which are designed to offer a range of 300 Km and 355 Km (WLTP cycle).
Talking about its competition, the Syros EV could compete with Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV 400, and MG Windsor EV in the compact SUV segment.
