Kia Syros EV Unveiled: First Teaser of the All-New Compact EV2 SUV!

Kia has finally released the new teaser, showcasing the Kia Syros in its electric version. Defined as the Kia EV2 in the international markets, It is soon set to be launched in the Indian market under the “Syros EV” badging. Visually, it retains the ICE look of the Syros which includes futuristic design with urban practicality defining the entry-level EV segment. 

Kia Syros EV Design 

The teaser showcases the Syros EV’s striking boxy silhouette following the brand’s “Opposites United” design philosophy. The teaser also provided a glimpse of Star Map LED lighting that provides a sophisticated yet a modern look to the car. The Syros EV also features vertical headlamps and a clean front fascia, making a style statement for the car. 

Global Recognition: Syros Vs EV2

Defined as EV2 globally, the vehicle will be positioned in the compact EV segment in order to cater to a wider section of audience. Even with its compact dimensions, the teaser hints at the spacious interior and rugged wheel arches in order to make the Syros EV look bolder, ensuring that the car is able to withstand city commutes as well as weekend highway rides. 

Thus Kia’s Syros EV will strike a perfect balance between affordability and premium electric technology and will be going against the likes of some popular compact SUVs. 

Kia Syros EV Expected Launch 

Kia has not revealed the exact timeline of the launch in the teaser, but it is expected that Kia will do a grand unveil soon. However, the technical specifications such as battery, range, charging speeds and features will be soon provided by the company once the launch date comes near. 

If priced competitively, Kia Syros EV can disrupt the compact EV segment in India's highly competitive EV market.
