The Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq has been teased, showcasing an innovative triple screen configuration.

Mahindra has released a fresh teaser for its upcoming Independence day event, showcasing a new special variant of the BE 6. As reported earlier, the BE 6 will be coming with a new triple-screen setup and the new teaser has confirmed the same.

The new variant will be branded as BE 6 Sporteq, as this new variant will feature redesigned interiors. The car will be introduced on August 15. 

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq: What’s New? 

The biggest addition on the BE 6 Sporteq is on the inside, featuring a triple-screen setup as seen on its bigger sibling XUV 7XO and XEV 9S. The screen setup includes three 12.3-inch displays for instrument cluster and infotainment, which was first introduced in the XEV 9e, which is now used as standard in even the base models of the XUV 7XO and XEV 9S. 

Currently, the BE 6 comes with dual screens as standard, which will be continued in the base versions also. However, the triple screen setup will be limited to the Sporteq variant, which will be repositioned as a new top-spec model. The teaser also showcased new tan upholstery for the seats and dashboard. 

Other highlights include a redesigned dashboard designed like a halo-like loop that surrounds the driver. While it looks modern, but the loop is quite an ergonomic flaw as it doesn’t provide space for the second cup holder and makes the wireless charger and USB-Type C ports quite cumbersome to use. 

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Powertrains 

Apart from heavily redesigned interiors, the BE 6 will remain largely the same from the regular car. However, It is not confirmed whether the Sporteq variant will be offered with both 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. 

Both versions are powered by a rear electric motor generating up to 286 Hp of maximum power output and 380 Nm of peak torque. The larger battery is expected to return 682 km of range on a single charge. With the updated interiors, the new Sporteq variant is expected to be priced higher than the regular BE 6 which is priced between Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 26.90 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
