The MG Cyberster has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 72.49 lakh.

MG has finally taken the wraps from their all-electric performance roadster and has launched the Cyberster at an attractive price of Rs 72.49 (Ex-Showroom). This special pricing applies solely to customers who have pre-reserved their electric roadster. The Cyberster will be sold through MG's premium 'MG Select' dealerships and will be the second electric car after the M9 electric MPV.

The Cyberster has garnered immense amounts of love globally and now it has attracted Indian consumers, who are looking for a sporty all-electric roadster. This sportscar has created a unique niche of its own by providing various enhancements like inclusion of scissor-styled doors, modern technological features, and sportscar looks, which makes it a unique offering in the segment. 

MG has also positioned the Cyberster in a segment with no direct competitors, however as per pricing, the Cyberster falls in the price range of various high-performance cars like Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Porsche 718 Boxster, Kia EV6, Mini Cooper SE, and BMW Z4. 

MG Cyberster Sporty Design 

Visually, the Cyberster is designed with a low-slung roadster type design, which gives a feeling of sportscar from outside. It also houses a traditional long bonnet, with compact rear dimensions. MG has engineered the Cyberster with an ultra slippery drag coefficient of 0.269Cd, in order to enhance its aerodynamic efficiency. 

Other design inserts include a swoopy LED headlights, arrow-shaped tail-lamps with a full-width LED strip running across the edges. This electric sportscar incorporates 20-inch alloy wheels for enhanced grip, along with that it also gets silver roll hoops, a ‘Smile’ shaped fascia, and a folding soft-top. 

One of the main design highlights of the Cyberster is the scissor type door handles which give a striking look to the car’s overall sporty appearance. Consumers can pick from four exterior dual-tone color options, which include Andes Grey with a Red Roof, Flare Red with a Black Roof, Modern Beige with a Red Roof, and Nuclear Yellow with a Black Roof.

MG Cyberster Battery & Performance

POWER: This electric sportscar generates power via a 77 kWh battery pack attached between the axles, integrating with the base of the floor. MG has provided a dual motor setup, producing insane power of 510 PS and generating a mighty torque of 725 NM. 

MG states that this powerful sportscar is capable of reaching 0-100 km/hr in just 3.2 seconds, making it the company’s most powerful production model in the MG’s lineup till date. Cyberster returns a significant range of 510 Km on a single charge. The Chassis of the Cyberster has been re-engineered by ex-Formula 1 engineer Marco Fellino and gets a Brembo brakes setup for superior braking. 

In the international markets, MG also provides the user with an option of a cost-effective RWD version packed with a 64 kWh battery pack which produces a comparatively less power of 295 BHP, it delivers an extended range of 519 kilometers.

MG Cyberster Tech Features & Interior

On the inside, the cabin of the electric sportscar is surrounded by four screens and more concentrated towards the driver. Featuring triple curved screens at the top of the dashboard and measuring 10.25-inch digital driver’s display attached to the front of the 3-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel which feels awesome to hold!!

• There is also an addition of a 7-inch touchscreen present right next to the driver selector on the angled center console, which gets a grab handle present on the passenger side.

The Cyberster also gets a lifetime battery warranty exclusively for the first owner with a three year/ unlimited-kilometer warranty for the electric sportscar.
