MG is set to unveil a new electric hatchback concept at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed.
British manufacturer Morris Garages (MG) has teased an electric hatchback concept, set to be previewed at Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will be organised from July 9-12. The MG’s compact hatchback will go against the likes of Volkswagen ID.Polo, BYD Atto 1, and electric Mini Cooper.
MG Concept Electric Hatchback Details
The teaser image showcases that it will feature elliptical headlights integrated with two-stripe LED elements lighting setup. Additionally, it will also feature a closed-off grille, which hints towards its electric powertrain.
AdvertisementApart from this, the upcoming electric hatchback will feature MG badging on the C-pillar, along with the inclusion of rounded tail-lamps and extended blacked-out spoiler. One of the most interesting parts about the design is that the electric hatchback will come with a more rounded body shape than other electric cars in MG’s lineup.

When will it launch in India?
The electric hatchback concept is expected to be defined as MG 2, as the production version is set to be launched in Europe by Mid-2027. However, the chances of India launching are not clear, but if it launches in the Indian market, it could go against the likes of MG Comet EV, and MG Windsor EV.
