The Prime Minister is set to launch a significant EV export initiative on August 26, featuring Maruti's e Vitara from its Gujarat facility.

The Prime Minister on Saturday created a vision to set new benchmarks on exports related to different sectors after continuous threats of trade tariffs by US President Donald Trump. Modi pointed out that India's automobile exports have seen a substantial increase.
Modi also expressed his views on this issue and said, “Till 2014, the export of automobiles in India was limited to around Rs 50,000 crore. But today India is exporting automobiles at an impeccable Rs 1.2 lakh crore in a year, as today we are exporting everything, from metro coaches, rail coaches to locomotives.
India has achieved another successful feat as we are exporting electric vehicles to almost 100 countries of the world, which is a big achievement to be announced for August 26.”
