Mahindra collaborates with HPCL to enhance the EV charging infrastructure across India.
Charge_IN by Mahindra has entered into a strategic alliance with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to enhance their charging network across HPCL fuel outlets in India. Under this partnership, EV charging points will be installed in HPCL’s existing retail outlets, which includes 24,000 fuel stations across the country.
HPCL is currently managing more than 5,400 EV charging points installed in its HP e-Charge infrastructure, thus strengthening the foundation of its diverse network. The new charging stations will support 180 kW dual-gun fast chargers which are specifically engineered for faster electric four-wheeler charging.
AdvertisementThese chargers will reduce the charging load and times and improve the accessibility for EV users, particularly on highways and urban places. This strategic partnership is Mahindra’s attempt to build a developed nationwide fast-charging ecosystem through its Charge_IN initiative.

Thus by integrating HPCL’s exciting developed fuel-station infrastructure, this collaboration will accelerate the growth of public EV charging points across the country. This development has emerged after the EV manufacturers and energy companies are coming together to expand the EV adoption by developing the EV infrastructure across the country.
