Ola Electric has achieved an unprecedented milestone by rolling out its one-millionth EV from their FutureFactory in Krishnagiri, situated in Tamil Nadu.

Ola Roadster X+ Anniversary Edition Revealed

Ola is a Bengaluru-based tech company, which started their operations in India in 2021 and after rigorously competing in the electric two-wheeler market, they have finally crossed 1 million figures within the span of four years, thus making it the first electric two-wheeler company to achieve this record.

To celebrate this milestone, Ola has recently revealed the special edition Roadster X, complimented with midnight blue colour shade and integrated with red highlights. It also features dual-tone seats, rims and battery pack. The celebration edition is also finished with recycled copper waste and electroplated bar ends, thus reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainability.

The company’s annual event which was showcased last month also featured the new 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack powered with the S1 Pro+ 5.2 kWh and Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh, followed by several other announcements and future upgrades.

Ola Market Share

Talking about the sales figures in August, Ola regained some growth by registering second spot in e2W sales, followed by TVS, which secured the first spot. But if we analyse the year-wise growth of the company, it has faced a subsequent decline and lost a big share of the market by legendary big players in the industry like TVS and Bajaj, and currently it is also facing a stiff competition with Ather Energy which has garnered 17% of the market share.

However last month’s sales showed a significant growth as compared to the previous months which were quite dull for the company. At the start of their operations, Ola commanded the number one position and dominated the market. However, in the previous year Ola faced a significant reduction in market share, which was dominated at 51% in May 2024 and has dropped to a bare minimum of just 18%.

This significant decline is majorly because of the legendary players innovating in the electric two-wheeler market by introducing new technologies which are more reliable and are capable of deep market penetration. On the other hand, Ola is struggling with reliability issues and poor after-sales network, due to which consumers are switching to other brands.
