Renault is creating a buzz in the electric vehicles industry as they have developed a new concept for the Filante Record 2025 as a test to push the limits of electric car’s range efficiency. The Filante Records 2025 are always known for setting new standards for total number of distances travelled on a single charge.
Renault has also set new strategies to implement their new technology in the test and will be using the same in their new electric cars.
Renault Filante Design
This new design is made with a joint effort between Renault and French racing professional Ligier. The concept is 5,120mm long, with a height of 1,190mm, to put the size into perspective, the concept is longer than a range rover but lower than a McLaren 750S.
These dimensions make the concept more aerodynamic, thus fulfilling the Filante Records 2025.
- It even gets an addition of 19-inch wheels which Renault claims helps to reduce the air drag, as they have used special Michelin tyres, that reduce friction and saves energy, which helps to maximise the range.
Interiors
The interiors of the car are snug and compact, as to achieve the desired results in the Filante record, they have to carry forward simple design philosophy for the interiors. They look inspired by aeroplane type interiors and have a quite futuristic feel to it.
- Renault has also used a weight-saving strategy, what it does is it adapts to the driver’s body shape instead of a regular seat, which helps in better driving dynamics.
Renault’s Filante Record 2025 Power & Performance
To achieve the desired results and extract a good amount of performance, Renault has constructed a bespoke 87kWh battery pack for the Filante Record 2025. The battery is attached directly into the pack, to give a proper utilisation of storage.

These batteries also forego intermediate modules, which generates an impressive range of performance which is equivalent to a two-tonne SUV sold overseas and can extract up to 610 Km of range on a single charge.
Renault has incorporated lightweight carbon casing, which has significantly reduced the weight of battery packs under 600 Kg, thus contributing in increased efficiency and overall range.
Renault Filante 2025 is exactly 1000 Kg, made up of ultra-light materials for the body which includes carbon fibre and a 3D printed high-strength aluminum alloys. The overall chassis of the car is a mixture of aluminium, carbon and steel.
Renault has done wonders in weight reduction for the Filante Record as they have used an excellent technique of shaving off a significant amount of weight by using steel-by-wire and brake-by-wire technologies. The beauty of these technologies is that they use fewer mechanical components that add to the extra weight of the car. These technologies also give a greater degree of electronic precision.
