Royal Enfield has displayed their first ever electric motorcycle, the Flying C6 in India. It was first displayed in 2024 at Milan. This new electric motorcycle is anticipated to be a big launch and can be a revolution in the electric two wheeler industry. It is specially designed for the urban audience. Let’s deep down to what it offers.

Design and Looks

The Royal Enfield C6 takes design cues from the legendary Flea bike that was launched in the era of the British Army during World War II. The bike has forged frames that makes it lightweight by keeping the structure robust and strong.

The front fins are arranged in odd sequences, whereas the rear fins are in even sequences that display the tradition and legacy, which the original bike carried at that time. Both clusters of fins merge seamlessly into a wing-shaped motif located at the center.

It even gets round headlamps and features a single seat which is the signature of the legendary Flying Flea, while the pillion seat is available as an accessory.

Platform and Suspension

Royal Enfield has said that the battery blends tradition with technology as the magnesium battery uses an organic design language for weight reduction and optimum cooling at the high temperatures.

The Flying C6 has been engineered with advanced technology and precision as it is the only electric bike to get the unusual girder fork suspension. This suspension is quite useful in Indian road conditions as it gives a smooth riding experience and improves the stability and handling of the bike.

Technical Specifications

Royal Enfield has not given the official specification about the battery and motor of the Flying C6, but they have confirmed that the bike will be coming with the Vehicle Control Unit (VCU). The manufacturer has completely developed in-house and gets all the digital and physical touchpoints on the bike.

Royal Enfield claimed that the VCU will be optimising not only the motor but also for smooth riding experience with nuanced adjustments to the throttle, brake, and for the regeneration. All these features can also be accessed via phone.

Features

The Royal Enfield Flying C6 will be coming with cornering ABS, cruise control and traction control, with other electronic features. The bike can also be charged via a household three-pin plug, looking at the visuals, it is confirmed that it will also come with LED lighting and a digital display.

Royal Enfield’s C6 will also be the first electric bike to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon QWM2290 chipset which will incorporate connected services technology through the Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud platform.

Launch Details

Royal Enfield has not confirmed the launch of Flying C6 as of now, but it is expected that the electric motorcycle will be launched sometime in 2026.
