Simple Energy broadens its electric scooter lineup with Generation 2 models | Starting prices at INR 1.39 lakh.

Simple Energy has introduced their Gen 2 models of its Simple One and Simple OneS electric scooters, followed by the addition of a new model, Simple Ultra. This has updated the portfolio of Simple Energy’s electric scooter lineup which will be catered to different segments. 

According to Simple Energy, The Ultra electric scooter will provide a IDC-certified range of 400 Km from its 6.5 kWh battery pack, which is one of the biggest battery capacities equipped in an electric scooter as claimed by the company. The scooter has a claimed top speed of 115 kmph and can reach 0-40 kmph in 2.77 seconds. The company has started accepting the pre-bookings at its exclusive showrooms. 

Simple One Gen 2 Technical Specifications

The Simple One is available with two battery configurations, 4.5 kWh and 5 kWh which comes at a starting price of Rs 1,69,999 (Ex-Showroom, Bengaluru) and the larger 5 kWh battery pack at Rs 1,77,999 (Ex-Showroom, Bengaluru). The Simple OneS Gen 2 is priced at a cost of Rs 1,49,999 (Ex-Showroom, Bengaluru). 

As per Simple Energy, they will be providing a lifetime warranty specifically on the electric motor and battery across its scooter lineup. The Home charger is applicable to a three-year warranty or 20,000 Km, while the vehicle comes with a three-year or 30,000 Km warranty, whichever comes first. All models support home charging integrated with a 750W portable charger.

Both variants come with an option of six riding modes to choose from. These include EcoX, Eco, Ride, Air, Sonic and Sonic X, integrated with a combined braking system (CBS) featuring disc brakes on both wheels for superior braking performance. 

Simple One Gen 2 Features

The Simple One Gen 2 is upgraded with several features such as a revised dashboard, addition of a 1-litre glove box, and a dedicated charging port. The scooter also comes with Traction Control, cruise control, and four levels of regenerative braking. 

• Connectivity features include 7-inch touchscreen display, LTE connectivity via 5G e-sim, Bluetooth, app integration, and over-the-air updates. It also comes with built-in navigation, followed by the Simple OneS Gen 2 featuring turn-by-turn navigation. 

• Other features include TPMS, Find My Vehicle, Park Assist, and intelligent regenerative braking. The system also supports Android 12 and comes with IP65 rating.
