Skoda has just introduced their sportier RS versions of the Skoda Enyaq facelift and Enyaq coupe. This introduction has come after 5 months of revealing the standard Enyaq and Enyaq coupe.
The exterior and interior of the RS models are heavily upgraded with modern inserts and will be coming with a bigger battery for enhanced performance output. Let’s discuss the key features of the RS models in detail.
Skoda Enyaq RS Design & Interiors
The Sportier Enyaq RS is designed with the addition of various blacked-out modern inserts which are present at the windows and winglets on the new sportier bumper. The RS also gets big yet bold 20-inch alloy wheels which are larger than the standard models, with 21-inch Mamba Green colour wheels available as an option to choose.
The differences are pretty evident in the handling department also, as the Enyaq RS and Coupe RS have a higher drag coefficient of 0.251 and 0.239 as compared to 0.245 and 0.225 in the standard Enyaq and Coupe models, ultimately making them less aerodynamic.
The RS models will be available with two variants to choose from: Sporty RS Lounge and Elegant RS Suite. The features of RS Lounge are as follows.
RS Lounge Interiors: Suedia Microfibre and faux leather with a styling of lime green contrast stitching and piping which provides a sportier feel on the inside.
RS Suite Leather Interiors: This variant gets equipped with leather and faux leather upholstery with grey stitching and piping, which gives a sense of luxury and understate feel.
Standard features include an RS-spec styled 3-spoke steering wheel, and an addition of sports seats with attached headrests. The driver’s seat gets an integrated massage function as standard. Rest all features are identical to the standard model.
Skoda Enyaq RS Battery & Performance
There are various performance upgrades coming with the Skoda Enyaq RS and Enyaq Coupe RS. Mechanically, The RS models will get an upgraded 84 kWh battery pack, which is larger than the 63 kWh and 82 kWh battery pack available on the regular models. According to Skoda, the Enyaq RS will provide a WLTP range of 562 Km and 568 Km of range will be given by Coupe on a single full charge.
Skoda Enyaq RS will support high speed charging of up to 185 kW, thus recharging the batteries from 10 to 80 percent in just 26 minutes. There will also be a 11 kW AC charger available with the car which is capable of fully charging the car in 8 hours.
POWER: The bigger battery pack will increase the performance of Enyaq RS, generating 340 Hp of power which is sent to all four wheels which is a significant step up from 286 Hp provided by the Enyaq Coupe AWD.
The RS models will be significantly faster in 0-100 kph and can achieve speeds of 100 kph in just 5.4 seconds (Claimed), approximately 1.3 seconds faster than regular Enyaq models.
