Tesla is set to open its inaugural experience center in Mumbai on July 15.

Tesla is excited to invite electric vehicle enthusiasts as they unveil their first official experience center in Mumbai. This center will be established in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and will commence from July 15. It is also expected that Elon Musk could mark his presence on the opening of the company's first experience center, but it is not official as yet. 

This achievement will herald Tesla's arrival in the most competitive auto market, which is also the third largest globally. Following the launch, the second experience center is slated to be introduced in New Delhi. The EV manufacturer has also started bringing its Model Y rear-wheel drive SUVs from Tesla’s Shanghai manufacturing facility, which just signifies the starting of marketing activities in India. 

As per the news from various sources, the company has sent at least five Model Y units at the Mumbai airport. Globally the Model Y is the company’s best selling electric car and is available in the USA at a starting price of $44,990. But as the company is trying to set its roots in India, they have to analyse the market and set the prices of their electric vehicles competitively, as the Indian market is quite budget oriented. 

There are various sightings of test mules of Tesla vehicles spotted conducting tests in Karnataka number plates and is relatable as Tesla has already established its office in Bangalore and are finding locations to set up warehouses in Gurugram and Karnataka. 

Tesla is in the process of testing its electric vehicles on Indian roads.

In the international markets, the Model Y comes with a single variant that is integrated with an all-wheel drive setup and a substantial battery pack providing an impressive range of 526 Km on a single charge and a maximum top speed of 200 Km/hr. The Model Y can also achieve a 0-96 Km/h in just 4.6 seconds of impressive timeline. 

FEATURES: The Model Y will incorporate advanced technological features of Tesla which includes electrically adjustable seats with heating as well as cooling functionality, premium 15-speaker audio system attached with a subwoofer, hands-free tailgate, and a setup of eight external cameras for added visibility and controls.
