Tata Curvv EV The Factors Behind its 5-Star Bharat NCAP Rating

When it comes to safety standards, Tata Motors are at the forefront of providing top-notch safety in their cars as all the SUVs under their line-up have secured a 5-star safety assessment from Bharat NCAP as well. The Curvv EV is the only electric coupe SUV to be sold by Tata Motors. 

At present, the Curvv EV is the leading car from Tata, and consistent with Tata's reputation, it has received a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP. Let's take a closer look at the safety features that help the Curvv EV attain this high rating.

Safety Features of Curvv EV 

Tata has integrated the Curvv EV with a total of six airbags, an electronic parking brake which gets the functionality of Auto Hold, Hill-Start and descent assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Blind Spot Monitoring System, Level 2 ADAS technology, and a driver drowsiness detection system. 

The Curvv EV is also equipped with the Acoustic Vehicle Alert System (AVAS), which produces sound alerts when the vehicle’s speed is less than 20 km/h. 

It also comes with front and rear parking sensors, Auto-Dimming rear view mirrors and automatic headlights with wipers and rear defogger. There is also an addition of a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and a driver alert system. 

Tata Curvv EV: Bharat NCAP Results

Achieving a stellar 30.81 out of 32 for adult safety and a respectable 44.83 out of 49 for child safety, the Tata Curvv EV impresses. It excelled in the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test with a score of 14.85 out of 16.00 and set a benchmark in the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test with an exceptional score of 15.15 out of 16.00.

If we talk about Child protection, the Curvv EV is even safer with an excellent score of 23.88 out of 24 in the Dynamic Assessment and a superb 12 out of 12 in the CRS installation evaluation. However, it scored significantly less in Vehicle Assessment with only 9 out of 13 in this category.
