Vinfast is all set to launch its biggest electric SUV to their India lineup in the future. As per reports, the Vietnamese manufacturer is planning to launch their VF9 in India. The VF9 is the biggest model in Vinfast’s global lineup. It is a five-meter electric SUV with three rows of seats and could become the brand’s most premium offering in India. 

Vinfast’s Largest Electric Vehicle

Visually, the VF9 retains the signature familiar design from Vinfast, but its large proportions give it a solid road presence, It comes with a three-row cabin and sits lower as compared to other SUVs. The VF9 comes with a 184 mm of ground clearance, which is quite low as per SUV standards.

It also comes with full-LED lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and substantial alloy wheels. 

Vinfast VF9 Interiors 

On the inside, the VF9 features a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with the addition of vegan leather seats and ambient lighting. There is also an inclusion of an Alexa-powered voice assistant. 

The center console houses buttons for selecting various drive modes, while the dashboard does not get a conventional instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. The three-row seating layout could be the biggest highlight of the VF9, when launched in India.

Vinfast VF9 Battery & Range 

POWER: The VF9 is a substantially-sized SUV and to pull this heavy SUV, the VF9 will be powered by two electric motors integrated with an All-Wheel Drive. Thus it generates a maximum power output of 402 Bhp and peak torque of 620 Nm. 

The VF9 is expected to be powered with a 123 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of up to 626 Km. These specifications made the VF9 one of the most long-range electric SUVs if introduced in India. 

The electric SUV also supports AC charging at 6.6 kW and 11 kW three-phase charging. With a DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10-70% in just 35 minutes. It also gets a range of safety features such as Level 2 ADAS, 360-Degree Camera, and 11 airbags. 

Vinfast VF9 India Launch 

While Vinfast has registered a design patent, it seems like the company has taken steps to introduce the VF9 in India, however the company has not confirmed the launch date for the electric SUV. When launched, the VF9 will be placed as a flagship SUV and positioned above the VF6, VF7, and VF MPV 7 in the company’s existing lineup.
