Volvo India has revealed the all-electric EX30 in India and updated their EV lineup for India. This electric SUV is projected to be released in India by September 2025, and deliveries are scheduled to begin next month. The EX30 is the brand’s most compact and entry-level all-electric offering.

Additionally, even though it is small, it preserves the original styling cues from other Volvo vehicles and offers a wide array of features, all underpinned by a five-star Euro NCAP rating, signifying Volvo’s safety standards. Thus for interested consumers, the following details for EX30 have been mentioned below.

The company has exclusively followed a design philosophy while engineering the EX30 and it has a striking resemblance with its other contemporary models from the Swedish manufacturer. Talking about the design, The EX30 features the brand’s signature ‘Thor’s Hammer’ inspired DRLs with the Volvo logo placed at the center of the panel.

Since it is an EV, the EX30 ditches the conventional grille and features closed panels with a roofline sloping towards the rear, complimented with black cladding at the lower body to give it a robust look. The SUV rides on 19-inch wheels for providing superior ride and handling and comes with a sharper design to enhance the aerodynamic efficiency of the electric SUV. 

Other design highlights include split LED tail lamps, and a striking LED strip running across the C-Pillars and an L-shaped section placed below.

Coming to the cabin, the EX30’s interiors are designed to give a more luxurious feel to the users with a minimalistic design. The company has provided light grey and black dual-tone colour shades for the interiors. The electric SUV also houses a clean dashboard design and features a three-spoke steering wheel, which feels so premium to hold.

Included in the SUV is a large 12.3-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment system, which oversees a majority of its functions, including navigation, media, air conditioning, seat adjustments, and the settings for mirrors and lights.

Other features include Wireless Apple CarPlay, 9-speaker Harman Kardon Audio System, Wireless Phone Charger, NFC Card Key, Air Purifier, and powered front seats with lumber adjustment exclusively for the driver’s seat. 

Volvo cars are known for their advanced safety features and the EX30 is loaded with multiple safety features such as seven airbags, 360-Degree Camera, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), rain-sensing wipers, auto headlights, Hill-Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, a blind-spot monitoring system integrated with ADAS suite (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).

Volvo EX30 Battery

The Volvo EX30 will be coming to India with a single battery pack integrated with a rear-axle mounted single motor setup. Featuring a 69 kWh battery pack, this electric SUV delivers a maximum power output of 268 BHP and peak torque of 343 Nm, offering a significant range of 480 Km on a single charge.

The EX30 can also reach 0-100 kmph in just 5.3 seconds of time which is quite fast, as compared to its competition.
