The Volvo EX30 is the premium electric SUV from the brand and comes powered with a 69 kWh NMC battery pack providing a WLTP-certified range of up to 480 Km on a single charge. We recently had a talk with the owner of the EX30 in order to know the exact real-world range he is able to extract with the electric SUV.

According to the user, the Volvo EX30 provided a real-world range between 400-410 Km in mixed driving conditions. He shared his full experience of the ownership and the real-world range test numbers done on a set route, under ideal city conditions.

Volvo EX30 Range Test (100% to 0%)

The user told us that during the range test, the AC temperature was set at 23 Degrees, while fan speed was set to 3. The drive mode was set as default city mode, while there was no option for brake regen level. The test was majorly conducted in city limits, followed by a sprint on highway, to check the real-world range in both terrains.

The claimed range of Volvo EX30 stands at 480 Km on a single charge, with an RWD motor generating a maximum power of 272 Hp and peak torque of 343 Nm. During the range test, the EX30 provided a real-world range of 403 Km, before coming to a 0% SOC. This resulted in a real-world range accuracy of 83.75% of the claimed range. 

NOTE: Driving to 0% SOC is done for testing purposes only and is not recommended for daily use in order to maintain battery health.
