2026 Tesla Model Y Premium RWD Price Revealed | Launched at 50.89 Lakh

Tesla has just introduced the Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variant at a starting price of Rs 50.89 lakh (Ex-Showroom). It provides a WLTP-certified range of up to 500 Km on a single charge. The customer deliveries are scheduled to start from July 2026.

Apart from that, the American manufacturer has discontinued the Model Y Long Range Premium RWD variant, which was priced at Rs 67.89 lakh (Ex-Showroom). Below we have mentioned the 2026 Tesla Model Y Premium RWD ex-showroom price in India.

NOTE: As the Long Range Premium RWD variant is now officially discontinued, Tesla is only providing two variants of the Model Y in India, the premium RWD and L Premium AWD. The RWD variant is around Rs 11.1 lakhs cheaper than the top-spec AWD, launched in April 2026.

2026 Tesla Model Y Premium RWD Battery & Features 

Tesla does not provide the official battery size and electric motor figures, but the Model Y sold in global markets comes with a 64 kWh battery pack paired with a rear-mounted electric motor churning out 299 Hp. It can achieve 0-100 km/hr in 5.9 seconds with a claimed top-speed of 201 km/hr. According to Tesla, it also supports DC fast charging up to 175 kW.

• As per Tesla, the 5-seater Model Y boasts maximum storage capacity of 2,138 litres. 
• It also comes equipped with a 16-inch primary touchscreen and 8.0-inch touchscreen for rear occupants. 
• The Model Y features a panoramic glass roof, powered tailgate, LED ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, power reclining and folding rear seats, and acoustic glass. 
• Safety features include ADAS, surround-view camera, and 7 airbags.
