Ather has shared details about the Konarc durability tests ahead of the launch on August 29.

Ather is all set to launch its first electric scooter underpinned by the brand’s EL platform, Konarc on August 29. We also reported that Konarc will be equipped with metal body panels and other technical details about the scooter. Now, Ather has also done a durability test on the Konarc to ensure its sturdiness and reliability. 

Extensive Testing in Tough Conditions

Ather will position the Konarc as a mass-market offering and they have claimed that they have tested the scooter with extreme conditions, which is far beyond what a normal commuter will face. The testing was conducted at Juggernaut, the brand’s in-house testing facility. 

Ather also posted on its instagram page which included tests such as drop tests, load testing, shaking, vibrating, compressing one lakh Km of riding data into an accelerated cycle. In order to take things extreme, the scooter was also tested in heavy rains, deep water wades, and floods were also simulated. 

Beyond these extreme testing, the Konarc also went through typical durability tests for components such as brakes, suspension, stands and switches. The video also showcases information such as the steel chassis, metal body panels, a swingarm mounted electric motor, a 14-inch front wheel and a 12-inch rear wheel. All other details will be revealed once the scooter launches on August 29.
