Tata Nexon is soon going to be the first sub-4-meter electric SUV to feature Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) as the company will be soon rolling out this feature in the top-spec variant of Nexon EV. The ADAS suite will be launched in the coming weeks in order to utilize the advantage of the ongoing festive season.

Tata Nexon EV ADAS Updates

Tata Motors will be soon introducing a new top-spec model of the Nexon EV which will come with top features like Level 2 ADAS and the top spec “Empowered +” variant will get the addition of ‘A’ suffix. The ADAS suite will be only available with the bigger 45 kWh battery pack, with a claimed MIDC range of 489 Km on a single charge, with a tested real-world range of 350 Km.

The Nexon EV also comes with a smaller 30 kWh battery pack option, tailored for those budget conscious consumers, with an ARAI certified range of 275 Km on a single charge. The top spec Nexon EV 45 Empowered+ A will also get a colour option of Red Dark finish.

The ADAS suite will bring a host of safety features which includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and lane-keep assist, forward collision avoidance and automatic emergency braking with auto high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, rear cross-traffic and collision warnings with an addition of driver drowsiness detection.

Tata Nexon EV ADAS Expected Price

The new top-spec Nexon EV Empowered+ A will be more costly than the current top-spec 45 Empowered+, as the current range topping variant is available at a price of Rs 16.99 Lakh (Red version costing Rs 17.19 lakh). The new ADAS equipped top-spec variant is expected to have a price difference of around Rs 75,000, thus could put the fully loaded Nexon EV 45 Empowered+ A in a price range of Rs 17.75 Lakh-17.99 Lakh price bracket.

This will make the Nexon EV to be priced more competitively than its main competitor, MG Windsor Essence Pro, whose top-spec model with 52.9 kWh battery pack with ADAS suite costs Rs 18.39 Lakh.

However, Tata Motors have not officially confirmed about the launch of Nexon’s new range-topping Empowered+ A model, thus we are waiting for the official confirmation of the launch.
