Ather has teased its upcoming electric scooter, which will utilize the new EL platform.

Ather Energy is gearing up to host its Community Day, set to kick off on August 30th. The company has also provided a sneak peek of its upcoming electric scooter through a teaser that reveals the silhouette of the new model.
This scooter is engineered on the brand’s all-new EL platform, which will be specifically underpinned by a new low-cost platform that the brand will be developing in future. The teaser showcases the central spine of the scooter which we earlier witnessed on Yamaha Aerox 155.
The main headlight unit will be placed on the Apron, followed by a grab rail situated at the rear of the pillion for added comfort, as we are estimating that the new scooter will be positioned for the general public. There are various speculations that there could be a placement of hooks to tie ropes in order to fix a backrest. The teaser also showcases the rear taillight, which appears to be quite large.
The new EL platform is specifically constructed to underpin cost-effective scooters and will be positioned to a wide range of users. It is also a modular platform, which means it can be utilized to underpin various scooters of different sizes and budgets. This will eventually lead to a reduction in manufacturing and R&D costs because the same platform will be used to develop multiple scooters.
2025 Ather Community Day: What to Expect?
Ather has already confirmed that they will be introducing new voice command features for their exclusive Halo range of Helmets. This would position Ather as the pioneering two-wheeler manufacturer to create an in-house voice system that serves as a direct communication link between the rider and the scooter.
However, it is not clear whether the brand will be integrating Google Assistant, Siri or using a completely new assistant developed by the brand. Ather will also be rolling out advanced fast-charging systems, accompanied by the upgraded Ather Stack 7.0 software, scheduled for launch for both new and existing customers.
The upcoming event will also organize enhanced interactive zones, giving attendees a direct experience with Ather’s design, engineering, and software development teams. The tickets can be booked live on online platforms.
