Hyundai Motor Company has bagged three titles at the 2026 What Car? Electric Car Awards, which also includes Best Electric Performance Car for Ioniq 6 N. The awards were decided by the What Car team of expert testers, which analysed the finest new and used electrified vehicles on sale, spanning across outright performance to best value for money cars. 

Apart from the Ioniq 6 N, the company also won Best used Hybrid Family SUV award for the current TUCSON Plug-in Hybrid, and Best Used Hybrid Seven-Seat MPV award for the previous-generation SANTA FE.

2026 What Car? Electric Car Awards Details

The Ioniq 6 N was named for the Best Electric Performance Car due to the exceptional electric performance as it produces up to 650 PS and 770 Nm of peak torque from its dual-motor powertrain, with a claimed top speed of 160 mph. 

In the used car categories, the current TUCSON 1.6T-GDi Plug-in Hybrid was named Best Used Hybrid Family SUV. It comes paired with a 1.6-litre T-GDi Smartstream engine integrated with a 13.8 kWh battery. The TUCSON PHEV generates combined power output of 288 PS and peak torque of 379 Nm. 

The hat-trick was registered by previous-generation SANTA FE sold in the UK between 2018 and 2024 has won the title of Best Used Hybrid Seven-Seat MPV.
