EKA Mobility introduces a 9-meter electric school bus.

EKA Mobility has introduced an all-new EKA 9M Electric School Bus at Prawaas 5.0 event organised in Gandhinagar, diversifying its electric commercial vehicle lineup. The bus has been specifically developed for school purposes and is underpinned by the company's monocoque platform featuring high-strength steel structure. 

EKA 9M Electric School Bus Technical Details 

The school-oriented electric bus comes with a capacity of accommodating up to 43 passengers and a driver and comes certified as per AIS 052 standards. The electric bus also comes equipped with Electronic Braking System (EBS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and air suspension system. 

The EKA 9M Electric School Bus comes powered with an option of 100 kWh and substantial 200 kWh LFP battery packs. The company states that it provides a range of up to 180 Km on a single charge and supports CCS2 fast charging, with an estimated charging time of 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Apart from this, EKA Mobility has also displayed its various products at Prawaas 5.0. These include EKA Coach, the EKA 12M Low Entry Electric Bus, the EKA 3S and the EKA 6S. According to the company, these vehicles are majorly used for city transit, institutional transport services and last-mile passenger mobility.
