March 2026 Electric Car Sales | Best Selling EVs as Vahan Data
The month of March has projected a strong market performance in FY2026 as companies like Tata Motors have registered an impressive sale of 6,31,387 units, which signifies up by 14% YoY. Thus the combination of new launches and increasing user demand has led to a total registrations to 22,315 units, which is a significant increase from 14,712 units in February 2026.
Tata has solidified its position by clocking sales of 8,253 units in the month of March. The company has recorded more than 2,300 units as compared to the previous month of February with a 38.8% growth. Thus Tata is clearly leading the EV race due to its wide range of EV portfolio.
AdvertisementMahindra has held second place by selling 5,244 units as the company registered 65.2% growth over the previous February sales by adding 2,000 units in a single month. Thus Mahindra has garnered a total of 37%.

JSW Motors: They have finished to the third spot by securing 5,141 units as Windsor EV has become the backbone for the company by helping the brand achieve 44.6% rise month-on-month with a significant 23% share. Thus MG has held its position in top three positions with a very slight gap separating Mahindra and MG in terms of sales.
Maruti Suzuki: The month of March is surprising as Maruti showcased a big jump recording 949 units in the month of March. They recorded a growth rate of 325.6% as compared to February, all thanks to the ramp up production for the e Vitara.
