The BMW iX follows a Condition Based Service (CBS) system rather than a strict service schedule. It typically requires servicing after every 2 years or 20,000 to 24,000 Km, whichever comes first.

Every 2 Years
- Microfilter Replacement: It involves swapping of the cabin air and climate control microfilters in order to keep the air clean.
- Brake Fluid Flush: Check-up or replacement of moisture-absorbent brake fluid in order to preserve the stopping response.
- Full Check-Up: Connecting the car to dealership software in order to clear fault codes and check-up of high-voltage battery health.
- Underbody Check: Checking the battery enclosure for physical rock strikes or road damages.
Every 30,000 to 40,000 Km
- Front Brake Service: Check-up and replacement of front brake pads and discs. Due to strong regenerative braking, the pads on the iX can last much longer than the traditional ICE car.
Every 50,000 to 60,000 Km
- Rear Brake Inspection: Checking & replacing the rear brake pads and discs.
- Cooling Circuit Check: Inspection of the sealed coolant levels which are used to regulate the temperature of electric motors and high-voltage battery packs.
Pre-Paid Service Packages (India)
BMW India is also providing dedicated EV service packages, which covers the standard scheduled check-ups mentioned above (Labor, Microfilters, and Fluids). The coverage plan starts at 4 Years / 2,00,000 Km and can go up to 10 Years / 2,00,000 Km, and can seamlessly transfer from a new owner if you are selling the electric SUV.
