MG Windsor EV Real-World Range Test Explained
The Windsor EV is the most popular electric car from MG garnering the majority of sales for the brand. It comes powered with a 38 kWh and a larger 52.9 kWh battery pack. We recently had a talk with the owner of the MG Windsor EV (38 kWh) in order to know the exact real-world range he is able to extract with the CUV.
According to the user, the MG Windsor EV provided a real-world range between 320-330 Km in mixed driving conditions. He shared his full analysis of the range test by driving in a fixed loop in the city and on the highway, by maintaining certain average speeds. In the end, the user calculated the real-world range on the percentage of charge consumed.

During the real-world rigorous range test, the MG Windsor EV (38 kWh) was able to extract a real-world range of 327 Km in the city, and 289 Km on the highway, which amounts to an average of 308 Km on a single charge. What’s impressive is that it’s just 24 km short of Windsor’s claimed ARAI range of 332 Km. The Windsor EV provides a battery efficiency of 8.1 km/kWh.

MG Windsor EV Charging Experience
The user also told us that while charging from the 7.2 kW AC charger, the Windsor EV takes around 7 hours to fully charge the batteries, while it takes 45 minutes to charge via 45 kW DC fast charger.
