BMW iX1 Real-World Range Analysis
The iX1 is one of the most popular electric SUVs in BMW’s electric portfolio and comes with a single 66.4 kWh battery pack. We recently had a talk with the owner of the iX1 in order to know the exact real-world range he is able to extract with the electric SUV.
According to the user, the iX1 provided a real-world range between 400-450 Km in mixed driving conditions. The owner shared his full experience after a day of driving the iX1. He also tested the potential of the car at city and highways.

According to BMW, the iX1 delivers a MIDC-certified range of 531 Km on a single charge, but in real-world, the owner got a real-world range between 400-450 Km, which is decent going by the Indian roads. During the efficient mode, there is an option to increase range which can be effectively utilised especially when the battery is low.
In this mode, the maximum speed is limited to 90 km/hr and performance of A/C is intentionally reduced. Even if you run out of charge. BMW also has a dedicated RSA service that comes to rescue you with a portable fast charger, when you run out of charge.

The owner has mentioned the exact charging time to charge up the iX1’s 66.4 kWh high-voltage battery. However, with a 50 kW DC fast charger, you can get a range top up of 100 Km in just 19 minutes.

BMW has also set up around 5,000 3rd party chargers which are verified by BMW which will be visible on the app as well.
