Kia introduces a battery rental program for the Carens Clavis EV.

Kia has introduced a Battery-as-a-Rental (BaaS) scheme for the Clavis EV in India, thus making it the first EV of the manufacturer to be offered with a battery rental pricing. The Carens Clavis EV will be powered with the same battery pack options, as Kia will be taking a rental fee of Rs 3.3 per km for both battery packs.

Kia will be also providing separate loan accounts for the chassis and battery pack for an easier ownership experience. However, the chassis loan will be repaid as a standard loan, but the loan tenure for the chassis would be up to 60 months (5 Years), while the battery can be rented for a maximum tenure of 96 months (8 Years).
