Urban Mobility and Cityflo developed their fully electric bus fleet in Delhi NCR through a joint collaboration with a fleet management firm Aaveg. Through this initiative, the company has entered electric mobility for the first time in the country’s national capital and will be focussing to diversify themselves across Indian cities.

Under this strategic alliance, Aaveg will be maintaining and having the ownership of electric buses, while Cityflo will be working towards route planning, commuter bookings, and service delivery. The electric buses developed by EKA (operating under Cityflo company), are currently running in high-demand office commute areas like Rohini-Cyber City and Sohna road.

This deployment is made on Cityflo’s hybrid model, which ensures a seamless integration of third-party fleet operations backed by their in-house technology platform in order to provide commuter services. The company is currently providing their services in Mumbai and Hyderabad, and is also scaling its services to Delhi.

The early reviews from riders in Delhi are quite satisfactory, with users applauding punctuality and comfort as main features of the company’s services. According to Cityflo, their prime objective is to electrify at least 20% of its total fleet by FY25, with a vision to expand in the areas of charging infrastructure and battery tech.

The CBO & Co-Founder of Cityflo, Rushabh Shah has expressed his views on the launch and said, “This alliance is an important step for Cityflo as we enter in the field of electric mobility with our e-buses and strengthen our presence in the national capital.

With Aaveg’s superior expertise in operations and EKA’s lineup of electric buses, we will be contributing in green revolution and providing a blend of clean energy with reliable, tech-enables operations in order to provide efficient and sustainable daily commutes, thus preventing users from hours of cumbersome driving in traffic, especially in metro cities. Our sustainable solutions will be setting standards for a green scalable public transportation across India.”

The CEO of Aaveg, Vivek Laroia also commented on this and said, “Aaveg takes mobility as an opportunity to provide quality service and takes it as a responsibility to serve the cities in order to provide effective public transportation.

This collaboration will strategically integrate our sustainable vision with Cityflo’s technical capabilities in building strong, tech-centric bus networks, ensuring a superior experience for all users. By integrating our electric buses to their systems, we will be developing public transportation and contribute effectively to India’s emerging green mobility.”
