Maruti Suzuki has finally introduced the India-spec E-Vitara. The Japanese manufacturer will be providing an option of a smaller 49 kWh and substantial 61 kWh battery packs. The company has also revealed the exact ARAI-certified range of 543 Km on a single charge. 

As per the company, the E-Vitara is all set to be launched in the Indian market in early 2026 and will be also providing an option of Battery-As-A-Service (BaaS) scheme. 

Maruti Suzuki Charging Infrastructure 

Apart from the launch, Maruti was also working on enhancing their electric network across the country and has established more than 2,000 charging points in more than 1,100 cities across India. On the other hand, the company has also partnered with 13 charging operators (CPOs) in order to tap into a wider charging network.

Maruti Suzuki has also aimed to set up over 1 lakh charging points by 2030 in collaboration with its dealers and CPOs. Maruti has made a big claim to make the charger available in every 5-10 Km of distance and can be accessed through ‘e for Me’ app. It also has a network of over 1,500 EV-ready workshops for seamless service and also provides an option of doorstep service as well.

ARAI-Certified Range: 543 Km (Larger 61 kWh)

The smaller 49 kWh battery pack will be available only with the base Delta variant, while the bigger 61 kWh battery pack will be available with the higher Zeta and Alpha variants. The E-Vitara will be competing with Hyundai Creta Electric, Vinfast VF6, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6 and Tata Curvv EV
