Maruti Suzuki has started exporting its first all-electric E-Vitara from its manufacturing facility at its Hansalpur Factory and has shipped over 2,900 units of the E-Vitara. This has been implemented just after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently introduced the first production unit of the locally manufactured electric SUV

He also stated that the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) is going to be exported to more than 100 nations from the manufacturing facility, as the same plant will be locally producing the E-Vitara

E-Vitara’s first ever shipments were transported from Pipapav port for the following countries which includes the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Iceland, and Belgium. Going by that, 17 other cars have already been exported to more than 100 countries from India, which also includes Suzuki’s birth country, Japan.

E-Vitara Export

Maruti aims to ship out 100,000 e Vitaras every year.

The Maruti Chairman, RC Bhargava states that the company has aimed to export 50,000 and 1,00,000 E-Vitaras every year.

As per the company, the manufacturing facility has the capability of producing 1 million units (10,00,000), thus making the Gujarat plant as the world’s largest automobile manufacturing hub, as said by Toshihiro Suzuki, Suzuki Motor Corporation. Currently, the facility can produce up to 7,50,000 vehicles annually distributed across three production lines.
