The Indian electric passenger vehicle segment witnessed a 61% year-on-year (YoY) growth in November by registering sales of 14,739 units, making it the 5th best month for sales in 2025. Tata Motors is dominating with a 42% market share, along with JSW MG Motor and Mahindra retaining their top three spots.

The month of November proved out to be a good month especially for new entrants as Vinfast bagged the seventh spot among total 16 EV companies, with Tesla completing the third month of their operations in India.

Many established EV manufacturers are expanding their EV lineup and newer brands are showing a strong foothold in the market. The November data shows the significant growth of the EV market as total sales showed a constant rise after the festive season of October’s peak sales.

EV Sales rise

Top Achievers

Hyundai Motor India registered sales of 372 EVs in November, ensuring a massive 1,671% year-on-year YoY growth, thus achieving a 2.52% EV market share. The majority of growth is due to Hyundai Creta Electric which was launched in January 2025 and just after the launch, it created an initial surge in its EV sales.

Kia was also not behind and recorded significant sales of 463 units, making it the number fourth e-PV manufacturer in November 2025. This growth is due to their popular Carens Clavis EV MPV, with a market share of 3%.
