Hyundai showcased CRATER Concept in a teaser Redefining Adventure.
Hyundai has showcased its latest visual masterpiece, the CRATER concept. The Korean manufacturer released a teaser that offers a glimpse of a rugged SUV blending with futuristic “Art of Steel” aesthetics.
This is not just a regular SUV from the company, but an SUV specifically designed for off-road enthusiasts in order to tackle the most challenging terrains integrated with advanced technology.
Catered for Extreme Off-Road Enthusiasts
The teaser showcases CRATER’s off-roading prowess and its bold silhouette. The teaser displays the CRATER in a stunning Dune Gold Matte finish, visually the design is complimented by sharp, faceted body panels and addition of 18-inch hexagonal alloy wheels integrated with 33-inch all-terrain tires, ensuring superior grip and handling.

It also comes with signature parametric pixel lighting equipped on the roof rack and grille of the SUV, which adds to the overall robust look of the electric SUV.
Engineering blended with Exploration
Beyond traditional SUV looks, the teaser also showcases Hyundai’s highly advanced off-roading engineering used in the CRATER concept featuring its off-road expertise by displaying steep approach and departure angles and full-width skid plates for underbody protection. There is also an addition of limb risers, with cables stretching from hood to roof which is specifically designed to defect branches on dense trails.
Hyundai has also given various terrain modes such as Snow, Sand, and Mud with locking differentials as the electric concept comes with torque-heavy performance on any surface.

Hyundai has also added the fun quotient by adding smart attention-to-detail such as bottle opener and detachable side-mirror cameras that double up as portable flashlights in the dark. There is also an inclusion of visible roll-cage and four-point seatbelts, thus making the CRATER ready for all adventures.
