Lotus reveals its first Plug-In Hybrid PHEV Eletre producing 952 HP
Lotus has introduced its first Plug-in Hybrid, the Eletre SUV, often called ‘Lotus for Me’ in China. It will make its first appearance in January 2025. This development comes after Lotus officially announced its Specific EV-lineup by 2028.
Lotus Eletre PHEV Battery & Performance
The Eletre Plug-in Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine integrated with a 70 kWh battery pack that sends power to front and rear electric motors. The combined power output is 952 Hp, and can accelerate from 0-100 kph in claimed 3.3 seconds.
The Eletre PHEV provides a significant CLTC-claimed range of 420 Km on a single charge. It also supports DC fast charging and can be charged from 30-80% in just 8 minutes, which is quite impressive.

Lotus Eletre PHEV Design & Features
Visually, the Eletre PHEV has a striking resemblance to its all-electric sibling. However, the company has distinguished itself from the EV by unique design cues which includes a redesigned open grille, different set of alloy wheels, ‘For Me’ branding and carbonfibre-inspired trim placed on the D-Pillars.
However, the company has not revealed Eletre PHEV’s interiors but expects small changes to the overall interior design. It will also include features such as 15.1-inch OLED infotainment touchscreen, a digital driver’s display, passenger screen, 23-speaker KEF audio system, heating, cooling and massage function for all seats, electric adjustment functionality, soft close doors, ambient lighting, and ADAS.
