Tata is set to introduce three new electric vehicles in 2026.
Tata Motors has set their vision for 2026, as the company will be entering the premium EV market under their Avinya brand by the end of 2026. They will be also introducing two new EVs in their lineup, followed by an all-new Sierra EV and Punch EV which is expected to be launched at the first half of 2026.
Tata’s addition is coming after their record sales of more than 2.5 lakh EVs in India. The Nexon EV became the first electric car in the country to cross 1 lakh sales units, which comprises 26% of Tata’s EV customers which are first-time car buyers.
Sierra EV and Punch EV Technical Details
Sierra EV: The Sierra EV will be positioned in the midsize electric SUV segment and is expected to be powered by RWD and AWD powertrain options.

It will also be equipped with various design elements from the ICE Sierra, and will be differentiated with its EV-specific elements such as a closed-off front panel. The Sierra EV will be underpinned on the acti.ev+ platform, which also underpins the Harrier EV.
Punch EV: The Punch EV will be getting a facelift just as the ICE Punch and is expected to launch next year. The EV will feature similar mid-cycle changes which includes exterior tweaks and addition of features, thus remaining Tata’s cost-effective electric SUV. With these models, Tata’s EV lineup will be covering the majority of the segments including Tiago EV, Nexon EV, Curvv EV, Harrier EV, and Tigor EV.
