Musashi India has signed a LOI with Bhago Mobility to supply electric powertrains for three-wheelers.

Musashi Auto Parts India has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Bhago Mobility Solutions Private Limited in order to supply electric powertrain systems specifically for the fixed-battery model of Bhago Mobility’s upcoming three-wheeler passenger vehicle platform, Bhago Bhim. 

Bhago Bhim Platform 

The Bhago Bhim platform is specifically developed to support battery-swap and fixed-battery configurations for passenger mobility. The LOI states that Musashi will supply its 3W e-Axles exclusively for the fixed-battery variant. 

The production is slated to start from 2027, as it will be commercialized by Musashi’s Bangalore Plant. The e-Axle will include key electric components used in three-wheelers. The e-Axles will be produced in India as a vision on localising electric mobility technologies and components for the Indian market.

The companies are also looking for additional components of the Bhago Bhim electric architecture, which includes cargo and battery-swapping models, and potential applications for other mobility systems. 

This platform is engineered with a connected platform comprising IoT and telematics. The system also supports predictive diagnostics, maintenance scheduling and remote software updates. The platform also gets vehicle parameters which provides powertrain, battery, and vehicle-health data in order to track potential issues and vehicle uptime.
