The Volvo EX90 will make its debut in India on August 19.
Volvo has confirmed the launch of its flagship electric SUV, the EX90 on August 19, 2026. The EX90 will be Volvo’s second electric car for the Indian market and expand its EV portfolio across the country.
Volvo EX90 Battery & Range
POWER: The EX90 will be based on Volvo’s 800V architecture and will be coming with a 92 kWh (Single Motor) and 106 kWh (Twin Motor) battery pack options. The 92 kWh version will be paired with a single rear-mounted electric motor (RWD) generating a maximum power output of 333 Hp and 480 Nm of peak torque.
AdvertisementThe 0-100 km/hr comes in claimed 6.6 seconds and provides a WLTP-certified range of 565 Km. On the other hand, the 106 kWh battery pack features dual-motor AWD setup that produces 456 Hp and 670 Nm of peak torque in base trim and 680 Hp and 870 Nm in the top of the line Performance variant.

The top-spec 106 kWh variant provides a WLTP-certified range of 608 Km for the base variant and 602 km for the top-spec Performance trim.
Volvo EX90 Design & Features
Dimension-wise, it looks exactly the same as ICE-powered XC90, but features a different design. At the front, the EX90 gets sleeker T-shaped headlamps with pixel-like ‘Thor’s Hammer’ DRL signatures, which is integrated with vertically-arranged lights. The EX90 also gets a Volvo badge in the front and grill-less fascia on the center. There is also an inclusion of a LiDAR sensor which can be easily spotted on the roof.
The side profile of the EX90 is styled in a minimalistic way with a rising shoulder line and substantial glass area, with a massive body cladding. According to Volvo, it has a drag coefficient of 0.29Cd. The EX90 comes with 20-inch alloy wheels as standard with an option of 21-inch and 22-inches.

At the rear, the EX90 is complemented by C-shaped LED tail-lamps with a vertical row of lights highlighting the rear windscreen. Other styling elements include a substantial roof spoiler and Volvo wordmark on the bootlid.
