The Ather 450X now features cruise control.

Ather Energy has introduced the Infinite Cruise functionality on the Ather 450X. It will be applicable to all the new 450X electric scooter range and will be also available for scooters billed after January 1, 2025 through an OTA update. 

Ather 450X Infinite Cruise Details

The Infinite Cruise functionality was first introduced on the Ather 450 Apex at the Ather Community Day 2025, and it is the same feature which was applied on a couple of scooters months ago. 

This system is quite different from the conventional cruise control system which completely disengages when the rider brakes or accelerates, but the Infinite Cruise keeps working in the background as it disengages after the application of brakes but automatically reengages at a new speed when the rider accelerates again. 

This feature can be also activated from speeds as low as 10 kph which makes it applicable to use even in slow speeds. On the other hand, it activates a ‘Hill Control’ function that controls the power delivery and regenerative braking in order to maintain steady speeds on inclines. 

According to Ather, the Infinite Cruise feature will be provided to more than 44,000 Ather 450X customers who bought their scooters from January 1, 2025. All the riders will be informed via on-screen notification on the scooter dashboard.
