The Mahindra XEV 9e and XEV 9S are now offered with Battery as a Service (BaaS).

Mahindra is now providing the options of Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership programme to the XEV 9S and the XEV 9e. Under BaaS, the XEV 9S will be available from Rs 12.65 lakh and Rs 13.90 lakh for the XEV 9e (Ex-Showroom). The battery financing options are available at an average cost of Rs 3.75 per Km. Now, all Mahindra electric SUVs are available under BaaS pricing scheme. 

Mahindra XEV 9e & XEV 9S BaaS Price 

The BaaS programme reduces the extra upfront cost associated with EVs and has lowered down the entry price of the XEV 9e and the XEV 9S by Rs 8 lakh margin. For reference, the outright purchase cost for the XEV 9S starts at Rs 20.65 lakh, while the XEV 9e price starts at Rs 21.90 lakh (Ex-Showroom, without Charger). 

Apart from this, Mahindra has also extended its BaaS programme to all the variants of BE 6 Sporteq. Currently, it is only available on the Pack One and Pack Two trims with the smaller 59 kWh battery pack. However, Mahindra has also revealed the exact variant-wise pricing of the BaaS prices of the three EVs. 

As per Mahindra, the effective usage cost of Rs 3.75 per Km under BaaS is based on the starting battery EMI of Rs 6,975 and a daily running average of 60 Km.
