The Matter Aera Platform is set to launch four new electric motorcycles within the next 12 to 24 months.
Matter is all set to introduce four new electric motorcycles underpinned by the Aera platform over the next 12 to 24 months timeline. The Ahmedabad-based manufacturer stated that the upcoming models will be coming with new variants and cater to different rider segments while retaining the core powertrain, battery, and software architecture specifically made for the Aera.
According to the company, the new motorcycles will play a crucial role in developing the company’s overall lineup. MATTER has not revealed the exact names, technical details, or launch dates of Matter upcoming electric motorcycles.

The upcoming products will come with a dedicated technology developed exclusively for the AERA, which also includes the powertrain, battery systems, and software. The company also confirmed that the AERA platform will be adapted according to the variants and rider needs.

MATTER AERA Technical Specs
The AERA will come as a geared electric motorcycle and will come with a 4-Speed manual transmission, defined as HyperShift. The gearbox is developed to offer the feel of driving a manual transmission motorcycle paired with an electric powertrain.
The motorcycle is powered by a liquid-cooled battery pack and electric motor with a certified range of 172 Km on a single charge. It is also equipped with an onboard charging system that can be seamlessly connected to the 5-amp household socket. Other features include a 7-inch connected touchscreen with navigation, music, and call integration.
The upcoming four electric motorcycles will be a part of MATTER’s growth strategy followed by an investment of $25 million (Around Rs 240 Crore) funding round. The company has further stated that this capital will be used to expand the manufacturing and supply chain capacity, and to enhance distribution and brand-building activities.

According to MATTER, the total capital stands at around Rs 1,000 Crore, with more than Rs 750 crore already invested across manufacturing, R&D, and market entry.
