MG has created new possibilities in the electric sportscar category by introducing the Cyberster in the Indian market. This all-electric sports car will be imported through the CBU route. MG has started taking pre-bookings for the Cyberster at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025. The brand said that the official bookings will begin in March and deliveries for this EV sports car will commence in April. Now let’s discuss the features and tech it comes loaded with.

  1. The face of the Cyberster is quite attractive with a large black finished grille in a honeycomb pattern with functional air vents, transforming the overall design with a smiling face which can attract people.
  2. The Cyberster gets the standard 20-inch alloy wheels and the rear houses left and right arrow-shaped tail-lights, which are connected by an LED light bar that runs above them.
  3. MG has designed Cyberster with distinctive cuts and creases to enhance sporty look with black-coloured ORVMs and integrated turn indicators.
  4. The bumper also has an aggressive split diffuser with a black finish.
  5. The Cyberster will be available in India in four colors to choose from: Red, Grey, White, and yellow.

Features and Interiors

The MG Cyberster is quite stylish in looks and from inside it has futuristic interiors with a sporty red and black color scheme. The flat-bottom steering wheel is designed with an octagonal MG logo. It even gets a 10.25-inch driver’s display, along with that two 7-inch screens are also provided on either side of the large display.

  1. Controls are provided below the touchscreen to operate the soft top.
  2. HVAC buttons are touch-operated instead of physical ones.
  3. The Cyberster is loaded with features such as adaptive cruise control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 360-degree parking camera.
  4. Safety features include ADAS with blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and front collision warning.

Cyberster Battery and Performance

MG has given a high priority to performance with a top-spec 77 kWh battery to the Cyberster for India which gets one motor on each axle powered by an AWD setup. These battery packs and motor help the Cyberster to achieve 510 HP at a powerful 725 NM of torque, with a claimed 0-100kph in the time of 3.2 seconds. The range of the sports car is 580 km on a single charge as per the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC). MG is also planning to launch the Cyberster RWD with a small 64 kWh battery pack based on public feedback and demand.
