MG Windsor EV achieves record monthly sales in August.

JSW MG Motors has achieved a top spot in the electric vehicle segment by recording highest ever monthly sales for Windsor EV. The all-electric car registered highest-ever sales in August by selling over 4,511 units. The MG Windsor EV retains the top spot for the 11th consecutive month, which just showcases the car’s popularity among EV enthusiasts. 

MG Sold over 41,000 Units After Launch

MG’s most-popular Windsor EV was introduced in the highly competitive Indian market last year and since then MG has beaten Tata Motors to become the highest-selling EV company. According to MG Motors, they have sold over 41,000 units of the Windsor EV till date. 

The Windsor Pro comes with an option of two battery packs categorised into Standard and Pro, as the top-spec Pro variant provides bigger battery and advanced features such as Level 2 ADAS. Another interesting fact that played a role in the success of Windsor EV is the company’s option of Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), by making the Windsor available at an affordable price of Rs 9.99 Lakh (ex-showroom). 

MG Windsor EV Battery & Range

The Power is sent through a single motor producing 134 Bhp of maximum power output and 200 Nm of peak torque. It is also equipped with reclinable rear seats, 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and packing more goodies. 

The MG Windsor EV is positioned in a highly competitive segment which has multiple rivals such as Tata Nexon EV, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, and many more. 

However we have also reported that Windsor’s main competitor, Nexon EV is all set to receive an update featuring Level 2 ADAS and is expected to be launched this festive season, so it will be interesting to see who continues to bag a top spot in this segment.
