Moonrider.ai Secures $6 Million to Expand Electric Tractor Production.

Moonrider AI has raised a total of $6 Million in a funding round organised by pi Ventures, with support from Advantage Founders and Micelio. The electric tractors have secured certification and are currently undergoing pilot tests, with MoU signed with multiple large partners.

The tractor comes with immersion-cooled battery technology, and locally manufactured BMS, which helps in reduction of operating costs by significant 70% costs as compared to diesel and savings of around Rs 2 lakh annual savings for a tractor producing a peak power of 27 HP. 

Moonrider’s tractors are underpinned by the company’s platform made specifically for agricultural activities and also includes high-voltage drivetrain and various components which work together to provide performance standards of diesel while regulating the costs and balancing the cost difference.
