Ola Electric has announced the widespread release of MoveOS 5. Take a look at the features it offers.

Ola Electric has officially launched its Move OS for a widespread release to all its S1 scooters and Roadster X motorcycles. However, first it was introduced as a beta software release in August last year and was available for testing to specific users, but was potentially delayed. According to Ola, they have brought a host of multiple new features with performance upgrades and enhanced range. 

New Features of MoveOS 5

Below is the detailed list of new features coming on the new MoveOS 5: 

Bharat Mood Theme: MoveOS 5 has introduced exciting upgrades, featuring a new Bharat Mood theme that draws inspiration from the peacock, our national bird. This theme will provide valuable driving information for the rider like available range, music controls, speed, riding modes, trip details, odometer readings, and time. 

Smartwatch App: Ola electric has seamlessly integrated a dedicated smartphone application that provides the customer to check the current status of their scooter directly through their smartwatch. Aside from that, users can unlock the scooter directly and access the boot via their smartwatch.

DIY Mode: This mode is remarkably helpful as it allows users to customize the throttle sensitivity and manage the levels of advanced regenerative braking. Riders are offered a selection of four advanced regeneration levels and three unique modes for throttle sensitivity. Furthermore, there is an option to disable advanced regeneration.

Notification Center: There is a dedicated notification center at the center display which provides significant phone notifications from specific applications present on the vehicle's main screen. It provides intelligent controls such as the ability to switch between displaying full content, message counts, or removing notifications fully to provide a free screen experience.

• Users can also customize whatsapp notifications in order to display messages from contacts, favourites, or not at all. 

Widgets: There are several widgets available which show live match scores, weather widget provides real-time temperature information and AQI levels as per the rider’s current location. 

SOS Alerts: Electric vehicles are now equipped with SOS alerts which automatically sends SOS messages at the time of accidents and display three emergency contacts on the display. 

Smart Park: Currently, the main features of Smart park are not revealed by the company. However it is expected that this feature will enhance the throttle response and limit the scooter’s speed, thus making it seamless to maneuver in tight parking spaces. 

Road Trip Mode: This is a segment first feature in Ola scooters and has first featured in MoveOS 5 which is specifically designed to support customers especially during group rides. This setting will reveal the path to the specified destination on the dashboard, along with information about fellow participants in the ride.

Find My Vehicle: This feature is also standard on MoveOS 5, which helps the riders to find their exact location of their vehicles, as it is super useful when you have parked your scooter in crowded or low-visibility areas. Users have the option to personalize their mix of lights and sounds through the Ola Electric App.

According to Ola, the MoveOS 5 is a latest upgrade which just elevates the user experience and provides advanced features and a futuristic OS for electric scooters. The best part is that the upgrade is not only specific on providing new features but it fundamentally upgrades the performance, reliability, and range of the scooters, thus making them more capable than before.
