Oben Electric introduces the most budget-friendly battery protection plan in India

Oben Electric has just launched their affordable battery protection plans in India for its users and is targeting the budget segment consumers. This plan is termed as Protect 8/80 and will be available for customers from May 1, 2025. 

Protect 8/80 Plan

The Protect 8/80 plan offers 8 years or 80,000 Km of coverage, whichever comes first, with prices starting from Rs 9,999. This plan comes with a coverage of full battery protection which includes its repairs, maintenance and all battery related concerns. 

The company assures that the maximum speed and acceleration of their latest product, Rorr EZ, will stay consistent throughout the warranty period. Oben Electric has also made various enhancements in the warranty plan by making it fully transferable. 

The company claims that the battery has been designed and manufactured locally to cater to India’s demanding terrain and climatic conditions. According to them, they have developed the batteries to withstand up to 50 Degrees of high temperature, thus ensuring high reliability and performance in India’s extreme summer temperatures. 

The Protect 8/80 plan is available for both existing customers and new customers who are buying Oben’s electric motorcycles. The customers can also choose this exclusive battery warranty plan at Oben Electric’s 36 showrooms located across India. 

Oben Rorr Battery & Performance

The users can select from two battery pack options: 3.4 kWh or 4.4 kWh. Developed exclusively for daily urban commutes, the Rorr EZ provides a substantial range of 175 Km on a single full charge. 

The Rorr EZ has a top speed of 95 Km/h and has the ability to speed up from 0 to 40 Km/h in a mere 3.3 seconds. Oben Electric has priced Rorr EZ competitively with prices starting from Rs 89,999 (Ex-Showroom).
